Job Description
The insurance verification and billing coordinator is responsible for verifying patient insurance, obtaining authorization for services , creating and billing for services.
Responsibilities and Duties
1. Verifies and obtains insurance authorization
2. Create invoices and bill insurance companies
3. Tracks EOB and posts payments
4. Appeal Denials and reprocess claims
5. Oversee Accounts receivables and ensure that all invoices are paid in a timely manner
6. Run weekly and monthly reports
Qualifications and Skills
1. College Degree is required
2. At least one year experience in insurance billing is required
3. Proficient computer skills(proficient in excel. Proof of experience will be required)
4. Complies with accepted professional standards and practice
5. Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication, and organization skills.
6. Ability to prioritize and work in a fast paced environment
7. Ability to work alone without supervision
