Corinthian Textile Solutions is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Manager to join our manufacturing facility in Dalton, GA. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining high manufacturing quality and ensuring compliance with IATF16949 standards and customer requirements. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining our quality system, collaborating with the Technical Director to enhance our corporate quality management system, and ensuring adherence to all aspects of our quality processes.
Responsibilities:
1. Mentoring and Support:
- Provide guidance and support to the Quality Technicians, assisting them in maintaining quality standards.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and training within the quality team.
2. Quality Management System (QMS):
- Ensure strict compliance with IATF 16949 standards and all customer specific requirements.
- Oversee the adherence and maintenance of the Quality manual.
- Maintain the document library, including work instructions, forms, and standard operating procedures.
3. Audits and Assessments:
- Oversee internal auditing.
- Coordinate external vendor audits to evaluate suppliers to IATF requirements.
- Ensure that product audits are performed to customer expectations.
- Perform process audits across various manufacturing stages.
- Evaluate process effectiveness, identify deviations, and implement corrective measures.
4. Customer Claim Resolution:
- Be the primary point of contact for customer complaints.
- Investigate and address customer claims related to product quality or performance.
- Collaborate with customer service and production teams to resolve issues promptly.
5. Corrective Action Systems:
- Utilize methodologies such as the 5 Whys and the 8D Discipline approach to identify root causes.
- Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence and improve overall quality.
6. Statistical Process Control (SPC):
- Implement SPC techniques to monitor and control manufacturing processes.
- Use statistical tools such as control charts, histograms, and Pareto analysis to analyze process data.
- Identify trends, variations, and potential issues early to prevent defects and maintain quality.
- Collaborate with production teams to optimize processes based on SPC insights.
7. PPAP Preparation:
- Review documentation, including engineering drawings and specifications.
- Conduct DFMEA and PFMEA exercises, use this information to create Control Plans.
- Oversee and approve vendor PPAP submissions.
- Prepare Initial Sample Inspection Reports (ISIR) and Part Submission Warrants (PSW).
- Retain samples for future reference.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Quality Management, Engineering, or related discipline).
- Proven experience in quality management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of IATF 16949 standards and quality control methodologies.
- Familiarity with VDA 6.3.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, customers, and suppliers.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and committed to continuous improvement.
