Key responsibilities include:
The Yardi Product Owner will operate at the enterprise level to optimize delivery practices and
processes that align with business objectives.
- Business Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with business units across the organization
to understand their operational challenges, goals, and strategic objectives. Act as a
liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to translate business
requirements into actionable system enhancements within the Yardi platform.
- System Enhancement Planning: Develop and maintain a roadmap for Yardi system
enhancements and optimizations based on business priorities and industry best
practices. Prioritize enhancement initiatives according to business impact, feasibility, and
resource availability.
- Requirements Gathering and Documentation: Lead requirements gathering sessions with
business stakeholders to capture detailed system requirements. Document requirements
clearly and comprehensively, ensuring alignment with business objectives and
adherence to Yardi system constraints.
- System Configuration and Customization: Collaborate with technical teams and Yardi
vendors to configure and customize the Yardi system to meet business requirements.
Ensure that system configurations adhere to Yardi best practices and limitations.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop and execute test plans to validate system
enhancements and configurations. Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) with
business stakeholders to ensure that implemented solutions meet business needs and
expectations.
- Change Management and Training: Develop change management plans and training
materials to support the rollout of new system features and enhancements. Provide
training and support to end users to ensure successful adoption of Yardi system changes.
- Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor system performance and user
feedback to identify opportunities for further optimization and improvement.
Proactively identify and address issues related to system usability, performance, and
scalability.
- This position works and collaborates closely with the Yardi Business Analyst as well as
with the Manager Performance Management on the needs for the Yardi system.
- Develop and manage a Yardi Product communication strategy.
- Develop and maintain a Yardi System Glossary
- Yardi performance reporting including organizational adoption and proficiency
indicators.
- Develop and manage a Yardi Documentation strategy.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or
related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Yardi Product Manager or similar role, with a
focus on supporting business units in driving efficiency and innovation through the Yardi
system.
- Deep expertise in Yardi software solutions, including Yardi Voyager, and other modules.
- Strong understanding of real estate and property management business processes and
workflows.
- Proven ability to translate business needs into detailed system requirements and
technical specifications.
- Experience working within Yardi system constraints and limitations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively
collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
- Ability to operate independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
