We are seeking a dynamic Director of Hospitality. This role requires strong leadership and organization skills. The ability to work and lead independently is a must. This person must live and breathe hospitality as well as know how to hire, train, and inspire a like-minded team. The right person for this role should have a successful background managing in the hotel and or hospitality industry and have a proven track record of running a profitable business within a larger organization.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for hiring key staff and overseeing ongoing staffing needs in general.
- Responsible for managing departmental budget maintaining top line revenue and expenses as necessary.
- Responsible for managing the capital budget and capital planning.
- Responsible for establishing service standards and processes to meet the high service expectation of Galerie Living and Corso customers
- Must be able to manage and drive forward multiple projects
- Confidently network at events such as fundraisers and associations
- Must have strong communication skills and must be able to communicate with a wide variety of audiences included highest levels of corporate staff
- Must have the ability to creatively problem solve
- Ability to learn and comply with all local, state and federal regulations
- Must be able to work in various positions at communities and be flexible and responsive to changing priorities
- Build and maintain cross functional relationships and collaborations
- Must demonstrate deep understanding of hospitality and event management
- Responsible to build a trusted rapport with Corso residents and surrounding community
- Meeting margin, revenue, and occupancy budgets
- Responsible for the oversight and guidance of Village Park Communities financials
- Community oversight of customer service, brand standards, satisfaction, and budget
Knowledge and Skills:
- Keen strategic thinking and planning
- Understanding of budget management and financial monitoring
- Excellent leadership skills, including goal setting, motivating, training and mentorship
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including writing, speaking and active listening
- Effective conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
- Good organization and time management
- Comfortable in a fast-paced or high-pressure environment
- In-depth knowledge of their industry
