Job Description:
Purpose: Define the responsibilities and authority of the Process Technician.
Business Side:
- Support, strengthen, and advance the mission and operating philosophy of the team.

- Participate in required training programs.
Responsibilities and Authority:
- Start up and maintain molding machines for production by entering data per approved setup sheets.
- Submit first and last piece articles to the Quality Department for approval.
- Monitor the accuracy of process setups throughout the shift (Daily Verification of Setup Monitoring Sheet).
- Stop production and/or delivery if necessary to correct quality problems.
- Ensure all machines are running at the approved cycle.
- Troubleshoot and respond to machine alarms to improve production and reduce downtime.
- Set molds and assist with paperwork needed to track changeover times.
- Check auxiliary equipment to ensure it is operating correctly.
- Be flexible to complete projects assigned by the Plant Manager or Shift Supervisor.
- Maintain the Quality Management System as it pertains to the area of responsibility.
- Use appropriate safety equipment.
- These responsibilities are flexible and may change as needed.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of or experience with plastic processes, machinery, and their impact on quality.
- Ability to manage and train employees.
- Forklift training.
- On-the-job training.
- Ability to communicate and work well with others.
