Inform families of child care options, counsel on high-quality child care, and generate a list of child care providers for individual family needs from the NACCRRware database. Provide enhanced referrals to clients receiving TANF. Follow up with families and complete data checks on clients' profiles. Participate in all aspects of the IDHS Child Care Assistance Program.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Educate and counsel families on all child care options and emphasize the benefits of each option as it relates to the child's developmental needs.
- Incorporate ExceleRate Illinois in consumer education ensuring families understand te importance of enrolling children in high quality early learning programs.
- Maintain accurate client database in NACCRRAware by completing data checks on a quarterly basis.
- Provides enhanced referrals to families receiving TANF and work closely with IDHS caseworkers to ensure the family's needs are met and maintain the scheduled follow ups as needed
- Acts as a resource to families regarding referrals, determining individual family needs and assisting wit follow up service with families every 6 weeks.
- Enter all certificates timely and accurately.
- Counsels parents, providers, and others on te IDHS Child Care Assistance policies, procedures and case specifics by telephone, email in person.
- Seek out and obtain at least 15 hours of professional development
- Particpate and attend Child Care Resource & Referral's fund raising and advocacy events.
- Organized and facilitate at least on distribution event (diapers,PPE,etc,) per month for March, April, May.
- Establish and secure MOUs with organizations for a total of 50 fr each Cunty by May 1, 2021.
- Create and complete a comprehensive database of resources to be shared internally at CCR&R by May 1, 2021.
- Assigned paperwork is processed accurately and in a timely manner.
- High degree of client/provider satisfaction with CCR&R programs and services.
- Demonstrated high level of working knowledge, understanding, and support of CCR&R and IDHS mission, policy, and procedures.
- Client and provider files are accurately prepared and maintained.
- Provide reports and requested information within requested time frame.
- Assure professional conduct as stated in the agency policy and procedures.
Education And Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Child Development. Early Childhood Education or related field.
- Must possess strong written, verbal communication skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to change, detailed oriented, has strong computer data entry and satisfied cultural backgrounds. (Billingual/Spanish a plus).
- Ability to travel locally and attend Agency related weekend and evening events.
- May be required to carry, lift, or move equipment, materials, or supplies up to 40lbs.
