Job Overview
The Junior Accountant is responsible for all bookkeeping responsibilities and client communication within assigned accounts. The ideal candidate for this position is an experienced QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online user who can connect data across multiple sources to understand the big picture while also being detail-oriented, allowing them to notice the smallest detail that appears inconsistent.

Job Details
- Ensure the accurate recording of income and expenses for assigned clients
- Partners with internal and external bookkeepers to organize transactions and reconcile accounts
- Produces and reviews standard and specialized reports for client’s accounts
- Monitors account receivables and account payables for assigned accounts
- Completes all required filings for sales tax, payroll liabilities, and workman’s compensation
- Monitors due dates to ensure all client reports are completed on time
- Identifies and investigates potential issues within a client’s financial data
- Assists clients with budgeting and forecasting
- Maintains the client relationships by responding to client communication and understanding the client’s needs and goals
- Completes general research for bookkeeping needs and to support assigned clients
- Collaborates internally with team members who are providing additional services for assigned clients
- Leads the onboarding for new customers
- Helps to create and improve internal processes
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
· Strong knowledge of general accounting principles
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy
· Accounting degree or 2+ years of prior staff accountant experience
· Thorough working knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online
· Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets experience
· Experience working with clients
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
This is a Full-Time Position with standard set hours to be determined between the employee and the company to suit both the employer and the employee’s preferred work schedule. This may be a hybrid position after the first 30 to 60 days
