Summary:
Responsible for greeting and registering the guest, providing outstanding customer service, upselling hotel outlets, handle basic guest complaints and settling the guests account at the end of their stay. In addition they are expected to support the Front Desk Manager with day-to-day operations. Front Desk Assistant Manager must be able to multi-task and be detail-oriented, as well as have effective conflict management and decision making skills. They must assign duties and observe performances to ensure adherence to hotel policies and operating procedures.
Responsibilities:
Support Front Desk Manager with day-to-day operations or as directed. Assign duties and observe performances to ensure adherence to hotel policies and operating procedures. Responsible for appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems. Works with staff to ensure they stay within labor budget. Directly approve schedules/timecards and ensure labor is not being over utilized. Support Front Desk Supervisor, Coordinator and Agent with day-to-day operations; this includes training, group blocking, check-in/out individual guests, answering calls, etc. Work with Sales and Finance to review and resolve billing discrepancies. Work with DOS and MOD to investigate and solve guest complaints. Ensure detailed documentation regarding incident is made when providing compensation. Pay attention and report any suspicious behavior. Maintain a positive work environment for all staff including those outside the Front Desk. Must have a flexible work schedule and be available to support the hotel in the event of a natural disaster.
