Our agency is seeking an individual who will be primarily responsible for coordinating and maintaining the general upkeep of buildings, vehicles, grounds and all of the equipment on the premises at our West Virginia locations.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING, REQUIREMENTS AND PREREQUISITES
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Training and/or experience in mechanical and electrical systems preferred.
- Minimum of five years’ experience organizing and overseeing maintenance projects.
- Must possess leadership and management skills and be able to work independently without direct supervision.
- Must have the ability to assess situations and use sound judgment.
- Must be able to handle several projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated people skills including the ability to work with diverse groups of people.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal).
- Valid West Virginia Drivers’ License and proof of insurance.
- Satisfactory driving record in accordance with Driver Requirements policy.
- Ability to drive agency vehicles and must have reliable transportation to be able to travel to various agency locations when needed.
- Ability to travel to other sites/locations.
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule including weekends as needed.
- Demonstrated computer skills and significant experience working with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to observe health and safety regulations and willingness to work with persons with disabilities or other special needs.
- Demonstrates an understanding of Agency’s Mission and Guiding Principles.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions: May be required to perform any of the following duties:
- General upkeep of agency facilities.
- Conduct and perform monthly inspections of agency facilities.
- Advise Director of Facilities of any maintenance needs.
- Coordinate and keep schedule based on maintenance ticket system.
- Address maintenance tickets in a timely manner.
- Perform general repairs such as painting, patching walls, changing locks, etc.
- Serve as emergency contact for staff at the agency’s office and school locations for questions concerning maintenance and repairs.
- Maintain landscaping as needed.
- Maintain snow removal as needed.
- Maintain communication with outside contractors as needed.
- Operate machinery and equipment.
- Move furniture and equipment as needed.
- Order and pickup maintenance supplies and materials as needed.
- Maintain storage and work area in a neat, safe, and secure condition.
- Create and maintain files on all agency vehicles.
- Coordinate maintenance and repairs of all agency vehicles.
- Implement vehicle inspections that ensures that all vehicles are in working condition.
Other Job Functions:
- Attends training as requested by supervisor.
- Attends agency meetings.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
