Full-time: 40 hours/Monday through Friday, evenings & weekends as needed.

We are the largest private provider of residential and community-based services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in the state of Kentucky. We are a local non-profit organization founded in 1970 by Louisville-area parents of people with IDD. We believe that a well-trained staff, committed to the mission and vision of Cedar Lake, will successfully offer a high level of compassionate, capable care, responsive to the needs of the mind, body, and the spirit of the people we serve. What you'll do:
The Activities Coordinator functions as a member of the Programming and Community Services Department. They are responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing on-site and off-site recreational activities.

Plan, coordinate, and implement on-site group activities.

Plan, coordinate, and implement community outings in a one-on-one and group setting.

Engage individuals in meaningful activities.

Safely load, properly secure, and transport individuals in a Cedar Lake Lodge van.

Provide direct support service, following mealtime, toileting, and transfer guidelines.

Plan and celebrate individual birthdays.
-
Communicate with guardians and family members professionally and promptly.

Photograph events and individuals. Supply pictures to individuals and their loved ones.

Properly manage and adhere to the department budget.

Attend and participate in meetings and required training.

Collaborate with members of the individual's Interdisciplinary Team.

Perform other related work as assigned.
What sets you apart:

High school diploma or equivalent
-
Must be 18 years of age
-
Must have a valid Kentucky Driver's License with good driving history

Ability to drive a 15-passenger van to transport individuals
