Evans Equipment and Environmental is a sales, service and rental company established in 1987, specializing in industrial water treatment and wash equipment for the oil and gas industry. The company has 50 employees based in Louisiana and Texas. We are seeking an experienced and professional Operations Manager to support the growth of the business.
The Operations Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of multiple service locations for Evans Equipment and Environmental. This position provides leadership, logistics management, and technical support to all locations and departments. Manages operational budget for all locations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Direct and coordinate activities including production, pricing, customer service, and distribution of products and services.
- Manage Service Managers and personnel at service locations. Oversees work schedules and assigning specific duties.
- Ensure current inventory levels support the technician’s required service tasks as well as supply and demand for customer purchases.
- Ensure that rental equipment is repaired/maintained in a timely manner to meet customer’s needs. Annually review rental inventory (age /condition) to recommend replacement (new equipment purchases).
- Manages parts, labor, chemical distribution for service locations.
- Ensure excellent customer relationships between Evans Equipment operations personnel and our customers.
- Maintains timely and in budget installations of equipment as needed.
- Manages service maintenance agreements and ensures timely service in accordance with all agreements.
- Ensure that products and services provided meet specific requirements and characteristics, such as being dependable, satisfactory, safe and fiscally sound.Ensure that all our operations are conducted in an ethical and legal manner.
- Manages third party relationships ensuring administrative and legal formalities are completed within the company guidelines.
- Determine staffing requirements, and interview, hire and train new employees, or oversee performance management thereof.
- Takes a lead role in monitoring the identification and development of new company locations. Hands on in the implementation from beginning to end, i.e. building location, staff selection, day-to-day necessities, equipment and parts inventory, etc. Visit current and potential customers to establish relationships.
- Review financial statements and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement.
- Establish and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures, conferring with team members, management, and staff members as necessary.
- Oversee the location, selection, price negotiations and procurement of equipment and inventory parts.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 5-7 years of operations management in an equipment service industry.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate at all levels of an organization.
- Prior budget responsibility.
- Prior management of technicians.
