SERVICE TECHNICIAN
Provide Service support, regarding the Repairs, Maintenance, and Troubleshooting, to the After-Sales/Support Manager, Power Products (Marine, Metals, Mining – Drives & Automation - Power Converter System) in the execution of the projects in North, South, and Central America as well as certain projects originating at Ingeteam Power Technology (Spain) that are executed abroad (non-Americas).
RESPONSIBILITIES, FUNCTIONS AND TASKS
· Provide Repair, Maintenance, and Troubleshooting support for customer projects regarding:
o Low Voltage and Medium Voltage Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), STATCOMs, and Battery Storage Inverters as per the application requirements in the Marine, Oil & Gas, Mining, and Grid sectors.
o Internal testing and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) with customers.
o Commissioning and After Sales Services of Products (Troubleshooting and Repairs).
· Perform product validation at the Ingeteam facilities to ensure that engineering and customer requirements for the project are met. Examine and analyze specifications to ensure that the customer’s needs are met. Modify and maintain technical documentation and specifications to ensure documents are up to date with design changes.
· Perform product validation and parameter adjustments at the customer’s facilities to ensure that engineering and customer requirements are met. Examine and analyze specifications to ensure that customer’s needs are met. Expedite and process Engineering Change orders, if required.
· Provide after sales support via remote connection, or on-site at customer’s facility throughout the Americas, and Globally.
· Travel Time is Estimated between 50 to 75%.
· Ensure tasks are performed according to organizational requirements for quality management and environmental, health and safety standards, policies and procedures.
· May perform other duties as assigned.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
· Experience with maintenance, operation, and repairs of Power Electronics (VFDs / Motor Drives), Automation Equipment, Industrial Controls, and Electric Motors preferred.
· Must have interest in PLC programming language and the desire to learn Ingeteam software products.
· Experience performing hardware and software testing and verification preferred.
· Must possess excellent communication, computer, analytical and organizational skills. Ability to effectively work as a team and communicate with all levels of personnel.
· Must be able to work independently, while also communicating effectively with the remainder of the team.
· Must have strong attention to detail and the ability to respond to changing priorities.
· Must have the ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics and possess troubleshooting skills related to equipment and processes.
ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS
· Preferred: Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or Equivalent.
· Minimum Qualifications: 2+ Years of Relevant Work Experience.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
