We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to become a vital part of our team. Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students' needs.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
- Provide individual and group counseling to students to address emotional, social, and behavioral issues.
- Offer crisis intervention and support as needed.
- Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop strategies for improving classroom management and promoting positive behaviors.
- Facilitate communication between the school, parents, and external mental health professionals.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to student support plans.
- Conduct workshops and training sessions for staff and parents on topics such as child development, behavior management, and mental health awareness.
- Keep accurate and confidential records of student interactions and progress.
- Stay current with research and best practices in school psychology and participate in ongoing professional development.
Qualifications:
- Master's, Education Specialist, or Doctorate degree in School Psychologyfrom an accredited institution.
- Active Illinois PEL license with a School Psychology endorsement required
- Valid NCSP credential from NASP preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a school setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, educators, and administrators.
- Demonstrated understanding of child and adolescent development.
- Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the school community.
