Position Overview
This position is responsible for providing secretarial support to Firm attorneys in the Corporate group.
Responsibilities

Edit, proofread and help in creating various correspondence including letters, emails, and legal documents

File correspondence and legal documents in office filing system, opens and closes files, and maintains information on clients

Perform clerical duties such as providing information to callers, taking dictation, composing and typing routine correspondence, and reading and routing incoming mail

Scan and submit invoices and reimbursements for attorneys in Chrome Rivers

Arrange travel, appointments, conference calls, etc.

Calendaring

Enter time in DTE system, review and edit attorney’s time entry; review, edit, scan, track and change pro formas

Performs other duties as assigned
Essential Job Specifications/Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Excellent written communication skills to edit and proofread correspondence and legal documents

Ability to type accurately and efficiently from draft or dictation with a minimum of 60 wpm

Strong skills and knowledge with Microsoft Word and Excel

Ability to deal professionally and effectively with both internal and external clients on all levels
-
Ability to analyze routine administrative details of limited complexity such as resolving minor scheduling conflicts, making travel arrangements, redirecting mail, etc.

Ability to work in a team oriented structure

Requires the ability to regularly report to work on the days and times
Education/Experience/Certifications
-
High School Diploma or Equivalent
-
Three (3) years of secretarial experience in a law firm or legal department

Experience with time entry preferred
