A beautiful Community Hospital located in the city of Alexandria is equipped with 11 OR suites and 4 Endoscopy Suites. Comprehensive range of surgical specialties to include, orthopedics-total joints, sports medicine, spine, general ENT, gynecology, urology, plastics, vascular, neurosurgery, podiatry, and maxillofacial. Job Responsibilities:
- Provides safe therapeutic care by collaboration with surgeons and health care team in performing a safe operation with optimal outcomes for the patient Provides individual, patient-centered approach to patients with a wide range of diagnoses.
- Must have acquired the necessary knowledge, skills and judgment specific to clinical practice.

Position Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Surgical First Assistant or 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience
- Must be licensed as a Surgical Assistant in the Commonwealth of Virginia at the time of hire
- BLS certification via American Heart Association
- Ortho, Robotics, and Plastics experience preferred.
- A current credential as a surgical assistant or surgical first assistant issued by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA), or the National Commission for Certification of Surgical Assistants (NCCSA) or their successors
