Job Description:
As a cannabis cultivator, you will work closely under the Head of Cultivation in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting in the cultivation and care of cannabis plants from propagation to harvest. You will be responsible for maintaining the health and vitality of plants, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, tracking and tracing all work, and contributing to the overall success of the cultivation operation.
Key Responsibilities:
Cultivation: The majority of the work for this position will be pruning and watering. You will also assist in all aspects of cannabis cultivation, including transplanting, trellising, light cycle controlling, and harvesting plants.
Monitoring Plant Health: After training, report to the Head Cultivator any signs of pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies.
Environmental Control: Assist in maintaining optimal environmental conditions such as temperature, humidity, and lighting to support plant growth and development.
Data Collection: Ability to use cannabis track and trace systems.
Compliance: Adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines governing cannabis cultivation, including but not limited to security protocols, SOPs, PPE and inventory tracking.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other members of the cultivation team to achieve production goals and maintain a clean and organized workspace. Maintain professionalism when communicating with members of the team and willingness to listen to others’ perspectives.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in horticulture, agriculture, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in cannabis cultivation or horticulture strongly preferred.
- Must be 21 years or older
- Knowledge of cannabis cultivation techniques, including propagation, pruning, and harvesting.
- Familiarity with environmental control systems and equipment used in indoor cultivation facilities.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) accurately.
- Excellent teamwork and communication in person, through phone calls and texting.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including extreme greenhouse temperatures and routinely lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
