Job Description:
Real Life Dental is looking for a Patient Coordinator for our Blacksburg office. We offer a 4-day work week, monthly bonus oportunities, annual uniform allowance on top of great health/dental benefits, paid time off and holiday pay. We challenge you to find a better place to work!
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.

A minimum of one year of front office experience preferably in a dental setting.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Knowledge of dental software strongly preferred.

Maintain a professional appearance at all times
Responsibilities:
As a Patient Coordinator, you play an important role in our office and perform a wide range of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

Open the office and maintain the appearance of waiting areas and patient restrooms

Greet visitors, handle their inquiries, and direct them to the appropriate people according to their needs.

Distribute appropriate paperwork and articulate instructions to patients.

Ability to perform all necessary daily responsibilities (see bullet points on separate sheet) and report using Dentrix Ascend software pertaining to role.

Engage with patients in and out of the office through verbal communication, text, email, and social media outlets.

Learn to operate new office technologies as they are developed and implemented.

Memorize and use scripts effectively both over the phone and in person.

File and maintain records.

Provide information about the Practice, such as location of offices, employees within the organization, or services provided.

Transmit information or documents to patients, using computer or mail.

Represent the practice in a professional, pleasant, and cooperative manner.

Present treatment plans to patients and discuss finances/collect payments

Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance in accordance with assigned schedule and time off policies.

Excellent computer skills and ability to use Practice software systems.

Actively pursues provision of excellent patient service.

May be required to train others on the administrative team

Able to handle multiple deadlines and task assignments comfortably and efficiently.

Able to work both independently and cooperatively in team settings.

May be required to come in on an assigned day off for training or to cover absences.

Other duties and tasks, as assigned periodically.
