Commitment: 10 Hours / Week (until The Courage Center opens this spring) and then 40 Hours / Week (once the program is open).
Compensation: Commensurate with experience. Up for negotiation.

Job Responsibilities:
Leads the clinical team at The Courage Center, a new comprehensive outpatient substance use disorder treatment center, in collaboration with the CEO, Medical Director, and consultants, by recruiting, training, directing, supervising, and evaluating all clinical employees of The Courage Center.
Assists in drafting all clinical policies, procedures, and clinical documents and forms used at The Courage Center.
Spearheads the clinical development, programming, and daily implementation of The Courage Center’s new electronic health records (EHR) system.
Guides the curricular vision of The Courage Center, researching clinical best practices and evidence-based programming.
Once the clinic is open, in addition to the above responsibilities, the Clinical Director will also work as one of the primary clinicians at The Courage Center, providing both one-on-one counseling and leading groups as necessary.
Collaborates on the operation of all other aspects of The Courage Center, providing a vital voice and perspective to the organization’s executive leadership.
Qualifications:
- Must be licensed by the State of Maine as both a Substance Use Disorder (SUD) counselor (LADC/CADC) and a Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS), as well as a lifelong learner with a passion for social services and holistic approaches to recovery.
- At least 5 years direct clinical experience working professionally to treat clients with Substance Use Disorder and other mental health challenges in a range of settings.
