This is a remote position open to any qualified applicant in the United States.
The Senior Associate will be part of the corporate affairs team for Cognizant, a Fortune 250 digital engineering and technology company. The Senior Associate will assist the managing director, partnerships by helping to maintain corporate affairs content, including press releases and external presentations, for legal accuracy and consistency, assist in creating and producing the ESG report, and assist the corporate affairs team with the execution of their strategic initiatives. In this role, you will combine your knowledge of public policy, ESG, and strategic project building with an ability to project manage and effectively communicate Cognizant’s brand and values.
- Execute a strategy to successfully represent Cognizant in corporate affairs matters including, review of press releases, external presentations, and strategy for communicating these policies.
- Represent the company by attending events with our trade associations, business groups and NGO partners
- Develop and demonstrate substantial knowledge of Cognizant business and operations and be prepared to provide regular updates and participate in briefings with internal Cognizant leaders
- Project manage strategic initiatives across the Corporate Affairs team including the ESG report and other ESG policy intitiatives, including preparing presentations
- Support the activities of the Corporate Affairs function in building the Cognizant brand among stakeholders
- Support philanthropic grantee management, reporting and story-telling; conduct research and vet potential grantees aligned to company strategic goals
- Support in building internal communications with respect to the Synapse Initiative to skill 1 million people over three years and government affairs priority like internal PAC participation
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree, 2+ years’ corporate experience, and interest in public policy, building strategic intitatives and projects, and corporate affairs
- Strong interpersonal skills; proven team building capabilities; ability to think strategically and tactically
- Excellent project management skills and ability to balance and prioritize variety of projects and deadlines at once.
- Proven experience in maintaining project schedules, documentation, communications and meeting deadlines
- Strong writing and presentation skills
- Results and metrics oriented
- A collaborative team member is a requirement

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $70,000 - $90,000, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
