Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the dental provider in delivering quality oral health care to patients. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and patient-focused environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
- Prepare patients for dental work
- Take and develop dental X-rays
- Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and equipment
- Float as front office staff as needed
Requirements:
- Certification or associate degree in Dental Assisting or high school diploma with experience
- Proficiency in OpenDental or similar dental software systems
- Knowledge of medical coding and HIPAA regulations
- Experience with prosthodontics, endodontics, and four-handed dentistry techniques
- Strong assisting skills with a focus on patient comfort and care
- Understanding of dental anatomy and terminology
- Ability to handle medical documentation accurately
