Strategic Insight, Ltd. is seeking an Administrative Specialist (Staff Associate) to support our NAVY client. The successful candidate will possess a solid background in administrative support for NAVY or DoD leadership. The client site is in or near the Pentagon, Arlington, VA.
Mandatory Requirement: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Report to DCO office leadership,
-
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the DCO office; coordinating various administrative tasks, such as scheduling meetings and booking rooms, managing calendars, and organizing files and documents,
-
Arranging travel, assist with booking, submitting and liquidating travel orders for senior office staff,
-
Maintain and organize records, documents, and files; data entry, data analysis, and generating reports to support decision-making processes within the office,
-
Serve as a point of contact for internal and external communication; handle phone calls, emails, disseminate messages to appropriate personnel,
-
Address administrative issues and solve problems to include troubleshooting technical issues, or finding solutions to logistical challenges,
-
Flexibility and adaptability, as their roles can change depending on the specific needs and priorities of the office,

Assist in onboarding actions for new hires, to include coordination and tracking of paperwork for IT accounts and assets,
-
Maintaining staff directory and phone tree for emergencies,
-
Coordinate with security staff and maintain roster for end of day checks, and
-
Additionally, member will be required to satisfactorily meet any additional requirements of the flag officer/senior executive (SES).

Must be able to function independently. Individual will be in a highly visible position and must always conduct themselves in a professional manner,

Active Secret clearance,

MS Office (Word, PPT, Excel, Outlook) and/or Office 365 (MS Teams, SharePoint Online) proficiency,

Experience with formatting and proofing official DoN correspondences,

Ability to draft personal and professional correspondence,
-
Ability to act on matters of social usage, protocol, honors, and ceremonies is preferred,
-
DoD or NAVY experience is preferred,

Attention to detail and accuracy in completing assignments,
-
Ability to effectively communicate and work with others at all levels, as a team member,

Ability to work with sensitive and confidential information,
-
Self-starter, goal-oriented individual who provides timely feedback on progress made on assignments,

Excellent organizational skills: ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks, and

Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Education and experience:
-
High school diploma,
-
Senior AS, who has served on personal staffs of flag and/or general officers and certain other senior executives, and
-
Experience with formatting and proofing official DoN correspondence is preferred.
