Full Time/Part Time: Full Time, Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm
Reports to: Business Process Manager

As a Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records and payroll processes. The Staff Accountant will provide support to the INW Leadership Team in all areas of accounting. This position will include accounts payable and accounts receivable responsibilities as well as financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting. Extensive software skills are required, as well as strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
Goals
- Maintain financial processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements when preparing financial reports and statements.
- Execute financial processes, such as month-end and financial year-end closings, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, tax returns, general ledger entries, payroll, budgeting and forecasting.
Main Responsibilities
70% - Scheduled financial responsibilities
- Records and reconciles financial transactions in the areas of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank and credit card reconciliations and general ledger entries
- Communicates with clients regarding account status
- Processes payroll accurately and timely ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations; completes payroll reports
- Records and provides monthly, quarterly, and/or annual financial statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements as directed by the Business Process Manager
20% - Project Work
- Records and prepares budgets and forecasts as directed by the Business Process Manager
- Identifies and recommends process improvements to improve quality and productivity
- Works with CPA to prepare documents for audits and taxes
10% - Other duties as assigned
- General office duties as needed or requested
- Other work supporting team
Required Skills and Abilities:
- College degree in accounting or related field
- 3-5 years’ experience in an office setting preferred
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may qualify the appropriate personnel for this position
- Working knowledge of complete MS Office suite and Google suite
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Quickbooks and Excel
- Strong knowledge of accounting practices and understanding of GAAP principles
- Skills in verbal and written communication
- Ability to interact with co-workers, clients and visitors in a professional, cordial manner
- Skills in use and maintenance of office equipment
Physical Requirements:
- Sitting and working at a computer using hands and manual dexterity
- Speaking and active listening
- Standing and walking on uneven surfaces
- Lifting up 10 to 50 lbs.
