Hours currently being offered:
Monday & Tuesday, 9 am to 4:30 pm each day.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Assist with the planning of multiple activities to provide for a range of interests and physical abilities. Assist in the preparation of monthly calendars.
- Determine necessary materials, media requirements and set-up. Organize participants and maintain a schedule according to the time allotted.
- Assist with the planning and implementation of special seasonal activities which may be held off-site or during evening hours.
- Work one-on-one visits and/or provide individual programming where needed.
- Chart daily group activities attendance, one-on-one visits, and level of participation.
- Help with reception breaks as needed.
PREREQUISITES:
- Ability and willingness to work with the diverse needs of residents, including those with dementia or sensory loss.
- Skilled in interpersonal relationships with the ability to meet the social, emotional, spiritual, intellectual and recreational needs of residents.
- Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form in the English language. Computer proficiency.
- CPR training preferred.
- Must have experience interacting with the Elderly and Vulnerable adults.
