Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations Manager to join our team. The Operations Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing our daily operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met. The successful candidate will have a strong background in operations management within the manufacturing sector and a proven track record of driving results.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the facility, including inventory management, fulfillment, packaging, kitting, coordinating production scheduling and quality control.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize operation processes, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and safety standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, logistics, and quality control, to achieve operational objectives.
- Lead and mentor a team of operations staff, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
- Analyze production data and KPIs to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness and meet company goals.
- Manage vendor relationships and procurement activities to ensure timely delivery of materials and supplies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in operations management within the manufacturing industry, with a minimum of five years of relevant experience.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve excellence.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking skills.
- Solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and manufacturing software, specifically Netsuite.
- Experience with Quality Control, ISO9001.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Knowledge in the latest fulfillment related software and technology to include Shipstation and scanning tools.
- Experience with fulfillment of LTL shipments and ecommerce operations.
- Prepare operational reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key performance metrics and achievements.
