Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish School is looking for an enthusiastic 6th-8th grade teacher to facilitate Math instruction and enhance social development of our young scholars. This position can be up to 3-4 months of service while our homeroom teacher is on maternity leave. We are looking for an energetic, collaborative, and adaptable facilitator. This includes following a teaching plan and math curriculum (paid training in August) to support Math development. This includes creating/using activities and instructional methods to motivate/influence children.
Responsibilities
- Design and follow a complete teaching plan provided by Imagine Learning Math Curriculum
- Utilize provided technology to facilitate Math instruction
- Organize learning material and resources
- Use a variety of activities and instructional methods and utilization of technology
- Maintain an open line of communication with parents and provide appropriate information
- Assess students performance and progress to ensure they are mastering the skills on regular basis
- Collaborate weekly with administration and staff
- Follow and comply with teaching and standards and safety regulations and requirements that are aligned with the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.
