A1 Valet Trash, a regional and expanding doorstep waste and recycling company is looking to a hire a Regional Operations Manager located in Atlanta, GA. The position will report directly to the founders and is responsible for managing and overseeing the waste pick-up for properties assigned to you by hiring, training and managing service valets. Focus on continuous improvement of processes and communication to ensure quality customer service to all properties and residents. The successful Regional Operations Manager will coordinate with the field teams to ensure there is 100% service level at all A1 communities. Candidate should be self-motivated and able to self-manage and motivate others. The ability to exceed expectations of both customers and team members every day!
Responsibilities:
- Multi-location management of dispersed workforce
- Responsible for ensuring daily/nightly completion of resident doorstep trash/recycle pick-up for assigned properties
- Responsible for recruiting, hiring and onboarding Service Valets
- Nightly verification Service Valets are on-site
- Manage inventory of supplies.
- Provide on-call support to Service Valets
- Inspect properties regularly for resident and Service Valet compliance
- Responsible for creating and managing schedule for part-time workforce
- Manage a labor budget
- Comply with, promote and train on all safety policies and procedures. Report all safety incidents in a thorough and timely manner
- Ensure daily delivery of reports to designated property staff members
- Acts in accordance with organizational and quality standards
- Regularly visit properties within assigned territory
- Maintain frequent communication and working relationships with property staff
- Roll out new properties within territory (travel when necessary)
- Flexibility to work split schedule 2-4 days per week and/or be on call during irregular hours depending on business needs
- Other duties as assigned
Education, Experience and Skill Requirements:
- Ability to manage stress and adapt to changing environment; comfortable with complexity
- Effectively communicate with others (verbal/written)
- Unwavering work ethic, integrity and sense of accountability
- Customer service, and prior people management experience. Preferred in a part-time workforce.
- Build effective teams & motivate others
- Employment law, customer service fundamentals, leadership/management principles, verbal/written communication fundamentals/etiquette
- AA or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to work outdoors in weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record
- Military service veterans preferred
- Preferred industry experience
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Bend at waist and knees to lift tote on shoulder(s) up/down stairs
- Ability to walk distance of property & climb multiple flights of stairs
