Warehouse Lead
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a proactive and organized Warehouse Lead to oversee the daily operations of our warehouse facility. The warehouse lead will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of shipping and receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and ensuring the overall cleanliness and safety of the warehouse environment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
· Manage daily warehouse operation needs which include, but not limited to, picking/checking, order fulfillment, receiving, returns and inventory control.
· Ensure processes and procedures are followed, maintained, and improved to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
· Meets warehouse operational standards by contributing warehouse information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying warehouse system improvements.
· Monitor and supervise the performance of existing team members on factors such as picking and packing accuracy and work efficiency.
· Communicate and collaborate with other team members.
· Investigate and determine root causes of shipping or inventory discrepancies.
· Work closely with the purchasing and E-commerce teams to facilitate communication between the office and the warehouse.
· Picks-up products from local vendors as necessary.
WORK ENVIROMENT
· Work is performed in a non-conditioned space, so the area is subject to both heat and cold in the warehouse.
· The warehouse process is constantly moving; attention to detail and safety are of the utmost importance.
· Noise level is moderate in the warehouse.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Prior warehouse/ distribution center experience required.
· 2-5 years of warehouse supervisory role managing a minimum team of five.
· Familiarity with basic inventory management and supply chain concepts.
· Experience with and understanding of software-based inventory systems.
· Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a dynamic, fast-paced working environment.
· E-Commerce marketplace (Amazon, eBay, and Walmart) experience a plus.
· Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
· Experience with “just-in-time” methodology a plus.
· Knowledge of automotive parts a plus.
· Forklift and Cherry Picker Certified
· Fluent verbal and written communication in English
· Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
· Clean Driving Record.
EDUCATION
High school graduate or equivalent.
