Job Summary:
We are seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team. The Dental Assistant will be responsible for providing clinical support in a dental office setting. The ideal candidate will have experience with medical administrative tasks, knowledge of dental terminology, procedures and excellent customer service skills.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments using dental scheduling software
- Verify insurance coverage and assist with insurance claims processing
- Collect patient information and update electronic health records
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinical and lab areas
- Assist with flipping operatories and sterilization
- Provide support to dental providers and staff as needed
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant
- Radiographer License required
- Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy practices
- Experience with dental office software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
