We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant
- MINIMUM 3 years experience
- Primary care experience
- Experience working with patient databases like HEDIS
As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office/hospital. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Knowledge and experience in prior authorizations, HMO referrals
- Case reviews
- Knowledge and experience with HEDIS
- Medical office administrative duties as assigned
- Interview patients, triage and point of care labs
Skills
- Proven working experience as a medical assistant or medical secretary
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Knowledge of billing and coding is a plus
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Social perceptiveness and service-oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
