Job Function: Responsible for the overall IT department, including planning, organization, and execution of all IT functions in accordance with the Strategic Objectives of the company. This includes managing the budget, engaging with vendors, and managing all IT operations to meet customer requirements, as well as the support and maintenance of existing applications and development of new technical solutions.
Qualifications:
· A college degree from an accredited university in computer science, or related field
· Experience with SAP (ERP)
· 5+ years of increasingly responsible experience in information technology; help desk, technical support, and communications with project management in a supervisory role.
· Experience with managing multiple projects to implement software and hardware upgrades.
· Operations experience in a production/distribution environment is a plus.
· Knowledge of principles and practices of personal computers, personal devices.
· Ability to support internal network and telecommunications (Internet, WiFi, EDI, API).
· Proven ability to lead a progressive IT group and motivate the staff.
· Critical thinking with problem solving skills. ability to operate and troubleshot assigned equipment.
· Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies with a track record of achievements
Job Skills and Responsibilities:
· Oversees daily operational activities of information technology systems.
· Network performance management (LAN, VOIP) to ensure 100% uptime.
· Monitor and manage cyber security.
· Manage Help Desk and Technical Ticket resolution; 100% First Pass Yield and minimal ticket aging.
· Infrastructure design, set up, and management for multi-site server networks.
· eCommerce and Internet based applications, including Melnor.com.
· Develop and implement an API roadmap to upgrade Melnor’s cyber-connectivity.
· Develop annual budget, providing justification when needed, and manage IT budget.
· Asset/Fleet Maintenance and Tracking Control for all hardware
· Support internal customers in using systems and provide technical assistance. e.g., reporting.
· MS Office Suite; Advanced Skills
· Execute purchasing agreements and manage service contracts.
· Ensures the consistency and maintainability of existing applications by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing technical solutions.
· Produces detailed timeline for each application release; develops extensive documentation records.
· Effective project control by monitoring the progress of software release and reporting the status.
· Develop and maintain a Disaster Recovery Plan for network. Maintains backups and control.
· Directs education and training programs for staff.
· Translate business needs into functional technical requirements.
· Evaluates new technology and makes recommendations to ensure security, compatibility, and effectiveness.
· Establish written policies, work instructions and procedures for information technology utilization.
· Manage and supervise team.
· Other duties as assigned.
Working Hours:
Regular business hours Mon-Fri 8a.m. to 5 p.m.; Overtime required based onbusiness needs and system availability. Disaster Recovery expected during non-business hours.
