My client, Superior Lithographics in Los Angeles, is looking to hire a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator. Hourly salary range: $18 - $21.
Shipping and Receiving Clerk- 1 position (Rotating Schedule every 4 months (1st and 2nd Shift), must be available for OT and work weekends when needed)(Monday- Friday First shift 6am start, Second shift 1pm start)
As a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator you will:
- Be responsible for following the shipping schedule and loading trucks.
- Interact with customers, drivers, and vendors.
- Assist in organizing material and removing waste.
- Be trained to handle hazardous waste material (moving and loading barrels).
- Received inbound material, compare identifying to packaging list and forward completed documentation to Accounting Department.
- Process documentation in a timely manner.
- Respond to emails, and phone calls. Be able to multi-task.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of the final product.
- Helps coordinate coworkers to expedite shipments and helps prepare items for shipment.
- Move received materials or finished product either with forklift or electric pallet jack.
- Performs monthly inventory.
- Performs other duties as requested.
- Cross-train in other job functions.
- Keep the work area clean.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and safety instructions.
- Attendance and punctuality are essential.
- Will need to be roll clamp, forklift, pallet jack certified. Will need to get certification.
- Work in a fast-paced environment.
What are they looking for?
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk experience, preferred.
- Forklift experience and computer proficiency. Will need to get Forklift Certification.
- Individuals that are energetic, and friendly. Have a can-do attitude and be proactive.
- You must have basic math and computer skills; good working with your hands.
- Ability to work a rotational shift and to be available to work weekends and overtime, if needed.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- High School Graduate/GED, preferred.
- Work in a team environment and be a team player.
- Ability to lift, pull and push 50 lbs.
- Able to grasp, grip, bend, squat, kneel, reach, push and pull.
- Good organization, communication, multi-tasking, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to fill out bills of lading; familiar with various forms that are used by the major freight carriers - must be able to interpret packing slips.
- Familiar with proper packaging methods; capable of interpreting best Packaging Method for available shipping.
Physical abilities:
- Ability to lift, pull and push 50 lbs.
- Able to grasp, grip, bend, squat, kneel, reach, push and pull.
- Operate Roll Clamp, forklift, and pallet jack.
