ESMI Mental Health Clinician/ ESMI Behavioral Health Counselor / First Episode Psychosis Program (LMSW, LCSW, LPC, LCPC)

Expected pay range: $32.00 – 34.00/hr
About your Role:
Our Early Signs of Mental Illness (ESMI) program is a grant funded, team-oriented program that is available to those ages 15 to 30 experiencing psychosis for the first time (or in the first 2 years of having psychosis). ESMI is a service that is offered to our clients to address psychosis and other symptoms and to avoid a higher level of care such as partial hospitalization, residential care or hospitalization and to support those clients who are stepping down from a higher level of care. It is designed to specifically address the needs of those experiencing psychosis and their families in coordination with a team consisting of a therapist, a recovery coach, a supported employment and education specialist, peer support specialist, and a nurse practitioner who prescribes medications and provides nursing /health wellness support.
ESMI services are delivered over a 2 year period with strict phases of treatment and specific needs being identified and treated according to the program as it is outlined by OnTrack NY. Specific training is provided for all staff engaging in these services and it includes focus on the following: Shared Decision Making, CBTp (CBT for psychosis), Motivational Interviewing, among other topics.
Must have LMSW, LCSW, LPC, LCPC
Responsibilities:
- Consistently provide services to clients throughout the duration of their participation in the program
- Conduct Comprehensive Diagnostic Assessments in order to assess the client’s strengths and functional needs, in addition to establishing risk-of-harm, history of treatment and recovery, and the client’s recovery environment
- Complete all ESMI-specific paperwork and psycho-therapy progress notes in a timely manner and in accordance with compliance guidelines
- Collaborate with ESMI treatment team, and staff cases on a weekly basis
- Meet with clients weekly to assess for safety and will document in accordance with ESMI program guidelines
- Facilitate open lines of communication for individuals with psychosis and other behavioral health issues
- Able to adhere to payor and company standards
- Organize and ensure all documentation is completed within a timely manner
- Maintain HIPAA Compliance
- Perform other duties assigned or necessary to support the program and/or company
Additional Dues for ESMI Lead Clinician
- Serve as Team Lead and Primary Clinician for all ESMI clients.
- Communicate Hiring needs related to ESMI program as needed.
- Ensure that services are provided to clients in accordance with the ESMI STAR model.
- Facilitate Weekly Supervisions for ESMI team focusing on coordinated care for ESMI clients across all services.
- Training and continuing education for new providers related to ESMI as needed.
- Communication and follow-up with Pathways administrative and intake staff as needed.
- Monitoring incoming ESMI referrals to ensure timely clients engagement.
- Communicate with Pathways clinical and administrative leadership as needed to facilitate growth and efficient functioning of the program.
- Attend meetings and trainings as appropriate with DHW and STAR.
- Additional tasks related to the above as required.
Does the Following Apply to You?
- Previous experience preferred
- Licensed within the State of Idaho or ability to become Licensed - LMSW, LCSW, LPC, LCPC
- Master’s degree required
- Ability to pass enhanced background check
- Familiarity with community mental health resources preferred
- Ability to build rapport with clientele
- Cultural competence
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Experience utilizing electronic health records
