Summary Statement:
To provide therapeutic services on site at EduCare through assessment, individual, collateral, group, family, and/or other modes of psychotherapy to enable clients to reach and maintain optimal level(s) of functioning. Needs to be able to work effectively with a range of both clients and staff from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds, and in a multidisciplinary setting and be able to work effectively as part of a treatment team that includes other therapist, case manager/rehabilitation specialist, and psychiatrist.
Qualifications:
Master’s or doctoral degree from a nationally recognized accredited school or program offering a degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or equivalent mental health related field; licensed by the appropriate body in the State of California or registered with the Board of Behavioral Sciences to become eligible for licensure. If not licensed, must qualify for California Department of Mental Health waiver of licensure and become licensed within a specified timeframe. Familiarity with coordinated services and rehabilitative mental health services in California highly desirable. If licensed in another state, must meet the prevailing requirements for licensure in California and obtain licensure within one year. Must maintain licensure in good standing in order to continue employment. Flexibility with scheduling and ability to work early morning start time (approximately 7:15am) and some late days for meetings and/or school events. At least one year experience with 0 to 5 age range, and preferably certified or working towards certification in CPP (Child Parent Psychotherapy). Trained in a trauma-informed approach. Must have all BBS hours completed and or be fully licensed.
Core Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Provides a specific amount of direct services with regard to prevailing workload standards including but not limited to providing direct clinical, psychosocial, and/or rehabilitative mental health services to EduCare clients, including but not limited to intake evaluation/assessment, individual, collateral, group, family, psychotherapy or counseling, crisis intervention and emergency intakes, in- home, community services, and/or services at other locations away from the Center. Coordination of services and case management, discharge planning, and case consultation with referral sources, school, allied agencies, and others.
- Interacts with the community at large and with specific allied agencies, other programs, and funding sources in a manner that facilitates and enhances the operation of the Center. In doing so, must understand the mission of the program and the Center.
- Manage, create and/or revise various types of reports from the Welligent electronic records systems and Department Mental Health’s Integrated System (IS), including but not limited to productivity and enrollment reports, usage reports and others that may be beneficial in managing and assessing supervisee’s activities and productivity.
