We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Marine Diesel Technicians to join our team. As a Marine Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of marine engines and related systems. Your primary focus will be on MTU, CAT, MAN, and Volvo Penta marine diesel engines. You will work closely with a team of technicians and engineers to ensure the smooth operation of these engines and ensure that they meet performance standards.
Minimum 5 years of experience with MARINE Diesel Engines required for consideration.
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic inspections of engines to assess condition and identify potential issues
- Troubleshoot engine failures to determine the root cause and recommend necessary repairs
- Order accurate parts required for specific jobs
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks
- Repair or replace faulty engine parts, including pistons, cylinders, fuel injectors, and turbochargers
- Perform engine and major component overhauls, including disassembly, cleaning, inspection, reassembly, and testing
- Maintain detailed records of engine inspections, and maintenance/repair activities
- Collaborate with fellow technicians, engineers, and supervisors to coordinate repairs
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years experience working with marine diesel engines required.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Vocational training in diesel mechanics or marine diesel factory training is preferred
- Experience with MTU 4000 and 2000 series preferred
- Knowledge of marine engine systems and effective troubleshooting techniques
- Proficiency in utilizing diagnostic tools and software
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and data
- Skilled in performing engine maintenance, repairs, and overhauls
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Flexibility to travel and work flexible hours as required
- Possession of a valid driver's license and passport
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual tasks
- Fluent in English
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
