General Description:
The Administrative Assistant provides administrative support and receptionist duties for multiple departments. This role requires a high level of proficiency with MS Excel, Word and Adobe which is critical, and the ability to work with multiple managers from various departments prioritizing and accomplishing the following tasks: managing office, cafeteria, light receptionist duties, and other similar duties as requested by management.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Perform general administrative tasks such as greeting visitors, screening and directing phone calls, and escorting visitors
- Create and modify documents using Excel, Word, and other MS Office programs
- Host and facilitate cross-team meetings, social gatherings, and conferences
- Order and manage stock of office, cafeteria, safety, and manufacturing supplies, as well as outside vendors and shipping coordination
- Collaborate with managers to devise and implement strategic administrative improvements
- Oversee expenditures and work with the accounting department to manage budgets
- Manage contracted services and support facility management and maintenance teams
- Operate office machinery such as computers, photocopiers, printers, and perform related light maintenance or troubleshooting
- Support HR activities and complete other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school degree or G.E.D.
- 2+ years of experience in an administrative or receptionist function
- Advanced Excel skills are critical (e.g. create macros, pull-downs, & hyper-links)
- Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Onsite Requirements
- This position requires you to be onsite in Brooklyn Park, Mon - Fri from 8:00AM - 4:30PM
