We are looking for an attentive-to-detail and organized Full-Charge Bookkeeper experienced in the Consumer Goods industry, to help organize the department. You will be reporting to the President and Operations Manager on a day-to-day basis.
Given the company’s fast-paced culture and aggressive growth goals, this hire needs to come equipped with a high level of accounting knowledge, organizational skills, and resourcefulness. The ideal candidate must have the ability to multi-task a demanding workload while working with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail, meeting deadlines, and professional follow-through is mandatory.
The candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, resolving collection issues, processing semi-monthly payroll, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This role will also require general clerical duties and routine functions, such as helping with employee onboarding and running credit reference inquiries for new business. Capable of developing and improving existing systems to make the workflow more streamlined.
JOB DUTIES:
· Full cycle accounting
· Monthly reconciliation of credit card statements, bank accounts, and revenues
· Create, post, and review all general journal entries for accuracy and compliance
· Reviewing, posting, and issuing daily sales invoices
· Manage the credit system
· Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
· Weekly check deposits and credit card payments
· Process monthly employee expense reports
· Process employees' timesheets and managing payroll
· Planning cash flow, budgeting, and forecasts
· Accounting reports including Profit & Loss Analysis
· Financial statement preparation
· Preparing month-end closing process
· Collecting information for auditing purposes
· Handle sales tax reporting and payments
· Prepare tax returns and monthly and quarterly financial statements
· Year-end processing/1099 prep
· Annual health insurance onboarding and renewals
REQUIREMENTS:
· Advanced Excel experience
· Degree in Accounting or Finance
· Experience with Sage100 or any major ERP system
· Strong G/L Exposure
· Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Outstanding organizational skills
