We are actively seeking a Cook/ Kitchen Manager for our 32-bed assisted living and memory care facility.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Texas Food Handler's Card (preferred)
- 1+ years as a cook at a senior living, assisted living, memory care, or similar facility (preferred)
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals following standardized recipes and portion sizes to meet the dietary requirements and preferences of our residents.
- Ensure that all meals are prepared and presented in a visually appealing and appetizing manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the proper storage and rotation of food items.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
- Assist in monitoring and documenting food temperatures, ensuring compliance with food safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to plan menus, taking into consideration the nutritional needs and dietary restrictions of our residents.
- Communicate with the dietary staff and supervisors to coordinate meal preparation and service.
- Assist in the receiving and inventorying of food and supplies, ensuring proper stock levels are maintained.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment, fostering teamwork and collaboration among the kitchen staff.
We're looking for someone able to work weekends about 20-30 hours. Possibility to pick up other shifts throughout the week.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
