The objective of the Maintenance Mechanic is to troubleshoot and maintain all machines with the goal of keeping the production floor running 24/7.
This is a 1st shift opening (M-F 6 am-2 pm).
Responsibilities:
- Complete work orders related to machine repairs and or preventative maintenance
- Troubleshoot equipment and repair machines
- Design, engineer, and fabricate machine parts as required
- Perform preventative maintenance on machines as scheduled
- Reduce downtime of machines to support production demand
- Change over machines to other products
- Prioritize and complete assignments on time
- Communicate clearly and in collaboration with Engineering Department
- Meet with production leads and supervisors regarding operation of machines
- Continuous training of machine operators and trainers
- Responsible for shop cleanliness, safety and compliance
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent required, Associate’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of machine repair experience in Production setting.
- Experienced in electrical, process, pneumatic, and automation, with a base PLC knowledge / troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of auxiliary equipment - hydraulics, mold temperature controllers, hot runner controllers, sprue pickers, robots.
- Mechanical aptitude with ability to read mechanic and pneumatic drawings.
- Prior experience performing PM.
- Motivated, organized, eager to learn and possess a positive attitude toward the job.
- Excellent listening skills and ability to follow instructions as well as provide directions on step by step repair process.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Lift objects of various shapes, sizes and weights.
