Job Overview:
Learning Ladders located in downtown Jersey City, NJ is looking for a motivated, independent, self-starter for a administrative position at our school. The center has multiple campuses and is steps from all major transportations.
The right candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills and have a good understanding of age appropriate activities for young children.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in ECE, Elem Ed or related field required
- 3-5 years of management/leadership experience
- A combination of infant, toddler or preschool teaching experience
- Strong leadership, supervisory and customer service skills and ability to create/maintain partnerships with families and staff
- Ability to lead staff in implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum
- Strong organizational and communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks or crisis situations effectively
- Capacity to understand and manage center financial duties
- Computer literacy
- Experience working in an inclusive work environment and managing across differences working with diverse group of individuals.
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Must meet state educational and licensing requirements for administrative position; additional center/school requirements may apply
The responsibilities include:
- Overseeing school operations including human resources, quality assurance, and facility operations
- Responsible for managing program logistics, coordinating activities, and ensuring program success
- Developing strong relationships and collaborate with families to support the needs of children
- Grow the team by hiring, training, supervising and inspiring a team of passionate, committed teachers
- Managing a budget
- Complying with state childcare licensing regulations
- Projecting a positive and upbeat attitude while working in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrating highly effective organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
- Design and maintain instructional materials/curriculum, academic records.
- Teaching part time and subbing as required.
- Having a genuine love for children and a strong commitment to education
