Member Duties : Housing counseling and fair housing assistance are recognized tools to alleviate poverty and stabilize households, these positive outcomes can only be achieved if those in need have access to resources and services. The Housing Counseling VISTA will collaborate with staff to research, design, implement, and evaluate a new intake system for the housing counseling and fair housing programs at Open Communities. The VISTA will conduct interviews with relevant stakeholders, shadow staff, attend relevant meetings and trainings, and research best practices to prepare and launch a new intake process. The VISTA would also conduct the intake process while creating the plan, this means answering and responding to intake inquiries.
