Teague Nall and Perkins (TNP) has an immediate opening for a part-time Office Assistant in our Katy office. The Office Assistant will be tasked with performing a wide range of administrative and office support activities to facilitate the efficient operation of the TNP Katy Office. The candidate must be well organized, flexible, and enjoy the challenge of supporting an office of diverse people and programs. Being proactive, resourceful, creative, and efficient while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality will be essential to this position. The ability to interact with staff at all levels in a fast-paced environment is crucial.
Responsibilities/Expectations:
- Answer, screen, and transfer inbound phone calls
- Greet, engage and direct clients & guests
- General clerical duties, including: photocopying, scanning, faxing, emailing and tracking receipts
- Sign for and distribute incoming mail & packages; schedule outbound packages via FedEx or courier
- Personally courier documents to clients, if required
- Assist in maintaining electronic and hard copy filing system
- Assist with team project & production work, including: conducting research, copying, scanning, and assembling plans, specifications & contract books
- Schedule meetings and reserve conference rooms
- Assist with scheduling and coordinating of office events
- Act as point of contact for office facilities and equipment maintenance; coordinate repairs
- Maintain office and kitchen inventory
- Maintain orderly working space – printers & copiers, etc.
- Assist Directors with Team Building event planning
- Coordinate closely with corporate HR department for event planning and coordination such as Family picnic, Christmas Party, and other social events.
- Other projects and duties as assigned
Position Requirements: At a minimum, candidates must meet the following educational and professional requirements:
Education/Certification
- High School Graduate (College coursework &/or additional professional development preferred)
- Previous administrative and/or office assistant experience in a professional environment. (Previous experience at an engineering firm preferred but not required)
- Computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access & Outlook)
Professional
- Responsive and results-oriented service to staff & clients
- Ability to develop & maintain effective working relationships with other team members
- Ability to manage and schedule work to meet objectives & deadlines
- Willingness and desire to learn new skills & proficiencies
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience is preferred
Compensation: Compensation includes:
- A competitive hourly wage, dependent on skills, qualifications, and experience
