Seeking Dedicated Full-Time Dental Assistant
We are looking for a Full Time Dental Assistant to join our team in Silver Spring, MD!
Schedule: Monday through Friday with some Saturdays during peak hours of operation (7 days per week)
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Current or able to obtain a current State Board Certification in Dental Assisting, Dental Hygiene, or Optometry required.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation are required.
- Must have a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to work in a busy Restorative office environment.
- Knowledge of dental terminology and ability to use instruments accurately and correctly.
- Ability to maintain an organized workspace while completing tasks.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team in providing patient care.
- Must be able to maintain a professional image while performing duties as a dental assistant.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The essential duties and responsibilities of this position are as follows:
- Assisting the dentist with patient care, including assisting the dentist with special needs patients.
- Obtaining patient histories, taking digital x-rays, preparing treatment plans, charting treatment and treatment follow-up notes, and communicating treatment results with the dentist/firefighter/lawyer.
- Observing proper sanitation procedures at all times in order to prevent the spread of disease.
- Maintaining a clean and orderly office environment at all times in order to promote a safe, clean place where patients and staff can feel comfortable.
