Job Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations at our Hippo Burgers restaurant. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food and hospitality, possess strong leadership skills, and have a proven track record of delivering outstanding results in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership: Direct and supervise daily operations of the restaurant to ensure efficiency and adherence to company standards.
- Team Management: Recruit, train, and supervise staff members, including kitchen and service teams. Foster a positive work environment and provide ongoing coaching and development.
- Customer Service Excellence: Ensure exceptional customer service by maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene, and guest satisfaction.
- Financial Management: Monitor and control restaurant expenses and budgets, including food, labor, and operating costs. Implement cost-control measures to maximize profitability.
- Inventory and Supply Chain Management: Oversee inventory levels and ordering to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing waste and ensuring freshness.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and licensing laws. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards.
- Promotions and Marketing: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional activities and marketing strategies to drive sales and increase restaurant visibility.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports on restaurant performance, including sales trends, profitability, and customer feedback. Use data to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or General Manager in the food and beverage industry, preferably in a burger restaurant or similar fast-casual dining environment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Sound knowledge of restaurant management software and POS systems.
- Understanding of financial aspects of restaurant operations, such as P&L statements, budgeting, and cost management.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
