Canyon Family Medicine is seeking to hire a full-time Medical Assistant that will be available Monday to Friday 7:30 am to 4 pm.
We are seeking a dynamic professional with excellent customer service skills and a genuine desire to provide patients with the care they deserve.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant training program
- Knowledge of Primary Care
- Front and back office skills
- Knowledge of patient confidentiality and HIPPA
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination
- Current CPR Certification
- 2 years of experience preferred
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for preparing the patient for visit with Provider. This may include but is not limited to: rooming patients, obtaining and documenting vitals, reviewing intake paperwork, removing dressing, injection preparation, and administration, blood draw, accurate data entry into EMR such as vital signs, and chief complaint.
- Maintains, cleans, and calibrates medical equipment
- The Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting the provider with patient care acting as a coordinator of care for patients before, during, and after office visits.
- Responsible for maintaining exam room standards and assisting with the completion of medical and patient forms.
- Responsible for front office procedures. This may include but not limited to: checking patients in, obtaining eligibility, collecting co-pays, assisting with billing, scanning clinical documents into Tebra EMR, scheduling patients, and other administrative tasks.
- Manages telephone and patient portal messages.
- Manages EHR tasks including labs, diagnostic imaging, documents, etc.
