Body Shop Craftsperson
The Body Shop Craftsperson candidates must be accustomed to assembling parts or units and be able to position, align, and fasten units to assemblies, sub-assemblies, or frames using hand tools and power tools. They must also be able to read work instructions. The use of precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and fixtures may be required.
Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to):

Lean Manufacturing, team interaction within and outside the department
-
Knowledge and ability to use the proper tools for the trade such as: grinders, ratchets, wrenches, drills, screwdrivers, mallets, feeler gauges, SPR tools, and other power tools.

Ability to follow work instructions and perform tasks on time with proper quality.
-
Ability to problem-solve in a team environment.
-
Ability to lift doors or other body parts into place (up to 44 lbs.)
-
Other duties, as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
-
High school diploma or GED minimum
-
Partial college or trade school in the automotive or manufacturing field is a plus.
-
Dent repair is a plus.
-
Forklift certification is a plus.
-
Welding experience or certification is a plus.

Experience in manufacturing or automotive work and/or machine repair in the automobile manufacturing, aerospace, or related industry.

Basic knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001:2015) and Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001:2015), as applicable

A positive attitude, strong communication skills, good memory, mechanical aptitude, hand-eye coordination, dependability, ability to follow directions, and a strong willingness to learn are critical to success in this role.

Ability to bend, turn, and stoop occasionally.

Ability to sit or be stationary for brief periods of time.

Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.

Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time, duration of the shift.

Ability to constantly lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. and periodically 50 lbs.
Work Environment
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing their job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will spend approximately 100% (excluding breaks and meal periods) of time in a manufacturing/ warehouse environment. When working in the facility, it requires the use of personal protective equipment, including (but not limited to) steel toe shoes, bump caps, and safety goggles. Reflective colored vest and ear protection is required in certain areas.

Compensation:
$20/per hour - $25/per hour. Compensation will vary DOE.
