The Department of Health Education and Promotion at East Carolina University seeks candidates for a twelve-month, fixed term (non-tenure track) position as Teaching Instructor or Senior Teaching Instructor or Teaching Assistant Professor of Health Education and Promotion. The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Teach courses within the BS and MS in Environmental Health program.
- The candidate may also serve on graduate research committees.
- Candidates are expected to provide professional service to the University, profession, and community; and perform other duties as assigned.
Contingent upon availability of funds.
Minimum Education/Experience
- Applicants must hold an earned master’s degree in environmental health, public health, or a closely related field.
- Degree must be conferred and received from an appropriately accredited institution.
License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation

Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education
- We seek applicants with teaching experience or demonstrated potential for success in teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses.
- Preference will be given to candidates who have: a) educational and/or professional experience in toxicology, biological, chemical, and/or radiation safety, or occupational health, b) other environmental health experience, c) previous teaching experience.
