What is CAM looking for in a Property Accountant

Job Duties
· Prepare monthly financial reports
· Review Balance Sheets and Income Statements per property to verify account balances, revenue, and expense amounts
· Journal posting with GL Codes to ensure up to speed and accurate general ledger
· Performs bank and balance sheet reconciliations and assembles the necessary detail and back-up data
· Work with clients and management to research activity and provide guidance
· Produce annual property budgets and budget forecasting for newly acquired and prospective properties
· Meet Accounting Team calendar deadlines – monthly routine and special project
· Compile and analyze cash projections for owner distributions
· Assist Regional Property Managers with preparation of analytics and variance reports to be used in owner communication
· Manage a variety of bank software platforms to scan deposits, process transfers and execute wire
Experience Required
· 3-5 years’ experience with multifamily property accounting, specifically accrual.
· Comfortable, adaptable with cross-training as other related duties may be assigned as necessary
· Advanced in Microsoft Excel
· Experience in assessing and improving systems/processes related to above duties and responsibilities
· Yardi experience preferred
