DIRECTOR OF MAINTENANCE (Multi Site)
A large, multi-site, high-quality manufacturer of interior and exterior automotive products is looking for a Maintenance Director who brings a unique blend of strong team and culture building along with leadership skills and a love of participating with your team where problems are found, the plant floor. This position requires previous experience as a Maintenance or Reliability manager with large, high-end equipment found in Automotive parts plants, including but not limited to PLC’s large tonnage stamping presses, injection or blow molding machines, paint lines, assembly cells, pumps, motors, Drives, grinders, chillers, air compressors, vacuum material handling, hydraulics, pneumatics, sensors and similar industrial equipment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES of the DIRECTOR OF MAINTENANCE
- Ensure safety is of paramount importance across the maintenance departments of multiple locations, and convey that message throughout all leaders, team members, and within departments as a part of the corporate culture.
- Create a Team atmosphere in the Maintenance departments and provide Leadership and mentoring to maintenance professionals to develop them further within our team.
- Help the Maintenance Teams troubleshoot problems, implement solutions, and dig with your team to get problems solved.
- Create/Review SOP’s, Preventive/Predictive Maintenance Plans. Ensure Execution and adjust based on data collected.
- Monitor Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual reports, managing performance to budget, including spare parts, purchases and all area costs.
- Prepare and manage annual Maintenance capital and expenditure budgets to ensure adherence.
- Manage vendor/contractor proposals and expenditures.
- Training, Staffing, and development of Maintenance department personnel.
- Develop and review goals/targets performance, quarterly, and provide an appraisal for each salaried maintenance employee, yearly.
- Special projects related to maintenance
- Implement a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
REQUIREMENTS FOR the DIRECTOR OF MAINTENANCE
- 5 years of supervision and/or management experience (direct reports) with a coaching/mentoring style of management. Multi-site responsibility preferred but not required.
- 5 years of automotive industry maintenance (Tier 1, 2 preferred), or a heavy industrial manufacturing environment that includes experience with: Pumps, Motors, Drives, Controls Chillers, pneumatics, vacuum convey equipment for materials, with 10 years of total maintenance experience.
- MUST BE hands-on, and willing to help Maintenance team members troubleshoot and repair and be a strong, goal-setting manager.
- Experience with Preventative/Predictive Maintenance programs such as MP2 would be a bonus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $139,999.00 - $165,000.00 per year
