Job Title: Agriculture Plumber
Location: Menomonie WI + Travel Required
Reports To: Service Manager

Job Summary: The Agriculture Plumber is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems specifically tailored for agricultural operations. This includes irrigation systems, water supply lines, drainage systems, and other plumbing infrastructure essential for efficient farming practices. The role demands a blend of plumbing expertise and an understanding of agricultural needs to ensure optimal water management and system functionality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation:
- Install new irrigation systems, water supply lines, and drainage systems.
- Set up pumps, valves, and other water control equipment.
- Maintenance:
- Conduct regular inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues such as leaks, blockages, or malfunctions.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure systems are functioning efficiently.
- Repairs:
- Repair or replace damaged pipes, fixtures, and equipment.
- Respond to emergency plumbing issues promptly to minimize disruption to farming operations.
- System Design and Upgrades:
- Collaborate with Project Manager to design efficient and effective irrigation and plumbing systems.
- Recommend and implement upgrades to improve water usage and system reliability.
- Water Management:
- Monitor and manage water usage to ensure sustainable practices and compliance with regulations.
- Implement water-saving technologies and techniques.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all plumbing work complies with relevant safety standards and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with design team and other key personnel to ensure quality
- Provide training and guidance to farm workers on basic plumbing maintenance and water management.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Vocational training or certification in plumbing preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience as a plumber, preferably with experience in agricultural or rural settings.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in plumbing techniques and use of plumbing tools and equipment.
- Knowledge of agricultural irrigation systems and water management practices.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good physical condition and ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Licenses/Certifications: Valid plumbing license or certification as required by local regulations.
