YOUR FUTURE TEAM
As part of TCEQ’s Office of Waste, you would contribute to agency efforts to regulate the generation, treatment, storage, and disposal of various wastes and the cleanup of contaminated sites. See details about what we do.
This position is a member of our Remediation Division.
Here's what you'll be doing...
- Oversee Petroleum Storage Tank/Dry Cleaner Remediation Program (PST/DCRP) Section sites for all phases of routine engineering work including site investigations, monitoring, remediation, and other corrective actions for TCEQ.
- Plan and coordinate all phases of routine engineering work in accordance with PST/DCRP Section guidelines; prioritize sites for further work; perform technical evaluations of sites; and develop scopes of work for site investigations and corrective actions.
- Oversee contracts/work orders to achieve corrective action at PST/DCRP Section sites.
- Review invoices under prevailing agency guidelines and required time frames

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Texas Professional Engineer's license.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience interpreting Petroleum Storage Tank regulations at contaminated sites.
- Experience with remediation systems (e.g., design, hardware components, equipment, construction, or operation).

CURRENT TCEQ EMPLOYEES
This position is also available as a lateral transfer opportunity (LTO) to TCEQ employees within the Engineer I-V state classification. The selected candidate must meet the minimum qualifications of the corresponding job in the Engineer I-V series.
